Ten Things To Do on Valentine’s Day

Don’t know what to do on Valentine’s Day this year? Don’t fear, Cup of Tee is here! (that rhymes LOL)

Although we always say Valentine’s Day should be everyday with your significant other but Valentine’s Day is still a day set aside specially to love and appreciate your partners and also show others love.

I’ve put together a list of activities to pick from to enjoy the holiday of love with your partner.

And the amazing thing is, even after Valentine’s Day, you can still do these activities just for something special for you and your partner.

Without further ado, let’s get into it!

ONE:

Romantic Date Night at a Restaurant

This is one of the most common things to do on Valentine’s Day but you can never go wrong with it to be honest. Plan a romantic date in your (or your partner’s) favourite restaurant with your (partner’s) favourite dishes to be served. Some restaurants during this valentines period usually have special packages.

An example is Golden Tulip’s st. Valentine’s dinner “The Act of Love” happening on the 14th of February. It includes a buffet dinner, grill and show cooking, gift items, music entertainment, comedy show, raffle draw and live band.

TWO:

Spa Trip

Use this opportunity to go on a spa date with your partner. Search for spa centres around you and take your day to chill and relax.

THREE:

Exchange Gifts

What’s Valentine’s Day without gifts? Still Valentine’s Day, don’t worry. But still, don’t ignore those valentine packages you see vendors on Instagram and Twitter advertising. Take your time to get a heartfelt gift that’s well thought of.

She/he once randomly mentioned something they like? Search for it and get it for them, it shows you’re listening. Nothing is better than a gift that’s meaningful not just something random you saw and thought was cute.

If you want to take gift-giving up a notch for this special day, choose a special gift like bobbleheads. You can get custom couple bobbleheads that look like you and your partner. Surprisingly, you can choose whatever design you want and you can customise it to your hearts content!

FOUR:

Recreate Your First Date

Remember your first ever date with your partner? What did you do? Free your schedule on Valentine’s Day and recreate what you did on your first date and remember those memories and add new ones.

FIVE:

Chill at Home and Enjoy Each Other’s Company

You don’t have to go out to enjoy your Valentine’s Day, you and your partner can have a staycation! Stay back at home, in bed all day, eat food, binge watch your favourite shows and just enjoy each other’s company.

SIX:

Make a Scrapbook of Your Favourite Memories From Your Relationship

A scrapbook is a good way to keep memories alive forever. Do you have pictures or souvenirs from things you did together? It could be a picture from a trip or something simple like a leaf you picked from when you went on a picnic.

SEVEN:

Go on a Trip

Okay this is something that requires a bit of planning unless you have the capability to pack your bags and hop on a plane. Go on a mini Valentine’s getaway trip with your partner and create new memories!

EIGHT:

Have a Candlelit Dinner at Home

As opposed to number five, actually plan something for you and your partner and cook your favourite meal, get some candles, light them up, get some rose petals and put your romantic side to good use and make your home look cute and romantic.

NINE:

Read For your Exams

So this is for people like me who have exams coming up and have no time for a romantic Valentine’s Day. As other people are thinking about what do get their significant others for Valentine’s Day, we are here calculating our CGPA and doing overnight reading. But don’t worry, God no go shame us.

TEN:

Go on Twitter and “God When” to Other Couples’ Pictures cause you’re Single

“God when” FC come forward, it’s your time to shine. So you guys had a whole year to find someone to do Valentine’s Day with but here you are, sad. So what you are going to do on that day yeah, open your twitter and be suffocated by couples uploading pictures and love epistles and wallow in your “singleness” and try again next year.

So whether you’ve been with your partner for years or it’s a fresh relationship, there are different ways to appreciate your partner and keep the flame lit. Enjoy your day and don’t forget to pray for the single ones. Shalom!

I’m sorry I’ve been MIA recently, I’ve been dealing with school.

How are you spending Valentine’s Day, single or taken?

Are you expecting anything for Valentine’s Day?

What do you want for Valentine’s Day? This is the last day to talk oh.
