I was Interviewed by My Instagram Followers!|| #Q&AwithTee

Earlier this week on Sunday, I gave my followers on Instagram the chance to interview me, to get to know my views about issues, personal things about me and also my blog.

Without further ado, let’s begin!

1.“What inspired you to go ahead and start the blog”

I’ve always loved to write and sharing my work isn’t something I’ve always been comfortable doing. So I used this medium to get out of my comfort zone and push myself to do greater things. With the help of my family, I started it and I’m loving it

2.“Where do you see Cup Of Tee in the next 3 years”

I see Cup Of Tee thriving. Doing travel tours, fashion, photography and even food! I have a lot of plans and they will be executed by God’s grace.

3.“What keeps you up at night?”

To be honest, I’m always up very late at night working and researching. From learning how to write a press release all over again to how to make Belgium waffles. Note: do not go through my safari, it’s a mess

4.“Why does society place such high values on beauty when it serves no functional purpose?”

Everyone likes a pretty face. With pretty face, they assume you have it all. An “ugly” face is not “attractive” and makes things look bad.

Which is trash to be honest.

5.“What lies do you often tell yourself?”

“I’ll do it later” I never learn. Sigh

6.“Where do you see your blog few months from now”

Lol having my own domain. But honestly, few months from now I’m looking at starting a YouTube channel. Let’s see how it goes

7.“Who’s your best friend?”

My best friends are Ebube Obialor and Chidera Ikeije

8 years and counting❤️

8.“If you had to feature one artiste, one actor, one actress….who will it be?”

One artiste: Not3s.

One actor: Odunlade Adekola

One actress: Funke Akindele

9.“Who inspires you”

My biggest inspiration is my family❤️

10.“Who are some of your best bloggers”

One! Osas of Osas the King

Two! Maryam Salam of The Blogger Point

Three! Hadiza Lawal of Wovenblends

Four! Ifeoma Amadi of Draped in Basics

11.“What’s your relationship like with your family”

They are literally my best friends. Large family of 7 but they are my G’s for life❤️

12.“How’s your support system”

I’m just so grateful for the people God put in my life. From my family, to my secondary school friends to even people I just met last year/this year and also my Uni friends

They are the reason my blog is still running. I love you guys❤️

13.“What are your plans for Cup Of Tee?”

Cup of Tee is more than just a blog, it’s my brand. It’s me! Just know that I have a lot of projects coming up. Don’t let me spoil the fun *winks*

14.“What drives you when writing your blog posts?”

My goals. I know what I want to do, I know where I want to be. I know that if I miss a day of publishing a blog post, I will disappoint myself and that’s the last thing I want to do

15.“How do you keep being consistent with blog posts”

Honestly, I just don’t want to let myself down. It gets hard some days balancing school and blogging but someone told me; if you want to do something, don’t think of it as a chore, do it because you enjoy it.

That helped a lot.

That’s why I started the weekly Tuesday schedule to keep my consistency.

16.“How did you come up with the name Cup Of Tee”

It’s actually a play on words. When I decided that I was going to start a blog and I began looking for a blog name. My girls, my elder sister and I started brainstorming. We came up of Life Of Tee, walk with Tee even Diary Of Tee but I just wasn’t at ease with them.

Then one day at about 2am thereabout It just came to my mind. A cup of tea= Cup of Tee.

And I thought, brilliant.

17.“How long do you plan on keeping the blog posts going”

For as long as I can. It’s not a short term thing. I still see myself doing this even when I’m married with kids lol

18. “How far are you willing to go using your blog to tackle some challenges facing the present generation”

I see blogging as a medium that can also be used not only for self expression but also for mobilization. This present generation of youths mostly get their information from social media and the internet in general.

If I publish a blog post speaking about a certain issue, I believe that it can be used to mobilize readers to take a certain action.

The internet is more powerful than we think.

19. “How do you manage school activities and blogging”

I actually gave my self a scheduled day to publish blog posts which is every Tuesday so it serves as a deadline and I make out time out of doing my school work even if it is an hour or two to write and edit my blog posts before Tuesday.

I would definitely speak more on this in the nearest future, making it into an actual detailed blog post.

20. “What is your pet peeve”

Oh my

    Slow network
    Loud breathing
Clinking your teeth on cutlery while eating.
  • Chewing loudly

Should I continue?

That’s is for today! Thank you guys for sending in your questions. I hope you learned a thing or two.

Comment down below if you think I should do the Q&A another time again!

  1. This was a good post, giving your readers a chance to ask questions, it is definitely a great idea and one you should do again.

Also it’s good to know you have a good support system because that always makes things easier.
